LAHORE: Following the standard operating procedures SOPs, railway authorities have directed to run passenger trains with 70 per cent occupancy to ensure social distancing during the journey.
According to a local TV, as per the National Command and Operation Centre (NCOC) orders trains will ply with 70 per cent passengers in the wake of the third wave of coronavirus in the country.
Now only 70 per cent reservation will be made in the passenger trains, according to the Pakistan Railways directives. Passengers have been advised to follow the SOPs at the railway stations and onboard the trains.
Authorities said that the passengers traveling without facemask would be fined.
