Sindh govt decides to change Malir Expressway route

KARACHI: The Sindh government has decided to change the route of the mega Malir Expressway.

The Malir Expressway is the largest project being carried out under the public-public partnership.

Sources said that over 20 villages (goths) in PS-88 had been saved by make a change in the design of the mega project.

They added that according to the new route the Malir Expressway would turn after the Quaidabad Bridge, minimizing damage to the houses and agricultural land.

The sources said that Gulshan-e Maryam Goth located near Jam Kunda will affect in the new route.

Most of the land falling on the new route is a government property, authorities said.

The approval for the new design will be taken from the Sindh cabinet.
