Daska election: Major changes made in local administration

DASKA: Following the February 19 elections in NA-75 Daska, major changes have been made in the local administration.

According to a local TV, out of 360 polling stations, the staff of 20 polling stations has been changed while the presiding officer at one polling station has also been changed.

In the by-elections of NA-75 Daska on February 19, scenes like firing and beatings were witnessed. Sometimes queues of voters would form at the polling stations and sometimes the doors of the polling stations would be closed.

The by-election on NA-75 will be held on March 18. The total number of voters in the constituency is more than 494,000.

PML-N’s Syeda Noshin Iftikhar and PTI’s Ali Asjad Malhi are expected to face off, while Tehreek-e-Labayyak has fielded Haji Khalil Ahmed Sindhu.
