ISLAMABAD: Former president Asif Ali Zardari has telephoned former prime minister Nawaz Sharif and PDM chief Maulana Fazlur Rehman.
According to sources, Asif Ali Zardari thanked both the leaders for ensuring the victory of Yousuf Raza Gilani in the Senate elections.
Talking to the former president, Maulana Fazlur Rehman said that Yousuf Raza Gilani was our common and unanimous candidate, his success is the success of PDM, with this alliance we will remove Imran Khan from power soon.
On this occasion, Asif Ali Zardari said that we have strategically defeated the powerful candidate of the government and now the chairman will decide the candidate of the Senate in consultation with the allies.
