ISLAMABAD: The Capital Development Authority (CDA) will launch its second phase of its operation against the illegal slums and other encroachments in the capital city on Friday.
Yesterday (Thursday) the CDA officials along with police and Rangers raided the sector I-11 of Islamabad and razed to the ground, the illegal slums.
Residents of slums hurled stones on CDA officers, injuring a number of people including two police officers.
CDA had earlier warned the illegal occupants of the CDA land to vacate it at their own; failing which operation would be carried out. On failure to vacate the CDA land, the Authority carry out the operation against the illegal occupants to clear the area from encroachments.
