Mafias have taken over railway land, says Swati

Islamabad: Railway Minister Azam Khan Swati has said that big mafias have taken over the railway land.

Addressing the 4th All Pakistan Women Business Convention, Swati said that women could play an important role in social, economic and human development.

He said that the government believes in empowering women and the vision of the present government is to provide facilities to women in every field.

He said that railways should be an economic hub but unfortunately this did not happen. In the last 50 years, the railways have incurred a loss of Rs1.2 trillion while in the last six months, the railways have incurred a loss of Rs20.30 billion.
