Karachi: Alkhidmat potable water supply department during year 2020 completed 89 water schemes including installation of water treatment projects, hands and double barrel pumps, solar submersible water pumps and filtration plants.
According to Chief Executive of welfare body, Naveed Ali Baig, around 43,000 people on daily basis are acquiring potable water from 43 water filtration plants installed in areas such as Lyari, North Nazimabad, Korangi, North Karachi, Gulberg, Liaquatabad and Golimar.
He said that potable water facilities are duly approved by Sindh Food Authority and other food regularity departments as Alkhidmat prefers health and hygiene first and he also appealed philanthropists to come forward and assist social welfare body in this regard.
