Islamabad: Federal Interior Minister Sheikh Rasheed said that Pakistan’s politics has now come to an open field instead of a dead end.

Addressing a press conference here on Wednesday, Sheikh Rasheed said that Maulana Fazlur Rehman is a religious scholar, he should look towards Islam, not towards Islamabad. He advised opposition not to use slogans that spread provocation.

He said that it is expected that the opposition would not create any problem of law and order in the protest before the Election Commission.

On this occasion, Law Minister Forough Naseem said that the Supreme Court has said in the Faizabad sit-in case that the protests or sit-in cannot be held anywhere. The state will protect the rights within the ambit of law, he added.
