Swati announces to stop overtime for railway employees

PESHAWAR: Railway Minister Azam Swati has announced to stop overtime for employees.

Talking to media on the occasion of his visit to Peshawar Cantt station, Azam Swati said that he would make the railway, which has been running in deficit for 50 years, profitable but would not sell the railway land.

He said that the encroachment mafia has been occupying through railway officers and police, now he will not leave the encroachment mafia in the railways.

The minister said that bribe is paid to the officers for overtime in the railway department. He added that the employees are receiving Rs700 million in overtime. I will not allow anyone in the railways to take overtime now, he said.
