Karachi: Pediatricians, otolaryngologists and general physicians under Alkhidmat orphan health care yearly programme conducted fifth-phase screening of 92 registered children at orphanage facility.
The children underwent medical check at the centre and also given tips how they can lead a healthy life. Screening of 744 children has so far been completed.
During checkup mothers and guardians of children were also present and they praised efforts of organisation in direction of health care.
The children were also given advice how to take care of their teeth, taking meals on proper time, avoiding market junk food, keeping workout besides going to bed on time.
Meanwhile, Director, Farooq Kamlani said that Alkhidmat facility takes health care of such children along with their grooming on modern lines and checkup of remaining children would be carried out at different medical centres.
Alkhidmat is also maintaining daily life needs of orphan children in order to prevent them from sense of deprivation, he added.
