Imran says complete lockdown harmful for developing, developed countries

ISLAMABAD: Prime Minister Imran Khan has said that the complete lockdown was harmful for the developing as well as the developed countries.

The premier expressed these views while addressing the Council of Heads of States during the Shanghai Cooperation Organisation (SCO) via video link on Tuesday.

He said that the number of coronavirus cases had reached over 500 million around the world, badly affecting the global economy.

Khan added that the world had been facing the challenge of economic slowdown. We need collaborative efforts to deal with the coronavirus. The SCO had achieved several successes during the past two decades, enhancing its influence.
