LAHORE: Punjab Chief Minister Usman Buzdar has approved over 5,000 appointments in the police department here on Wednesday.
Chairing a meeting here, the chief minister approved 5,700 new appointments in the Punjab Police.
He also directed to 101 police stations to expedite the process of transferring land. Buzdar also agreed to legislate for the issuance of driving linceses to the dump and deaf people.
The chief minister also instructed the police officials to ensure an implementation on the Open Door Policy. We want to introduce a good system to the Punjab Police. We will monitor the investigation process from the central investigation centre, he added.
Buzdar said that the collaboration between the prosecution and the investigation should improve while new vehicles would be provided to the police stations instead of the squads and security.
