Buzdar inaugurates Orange Line Metro Train

LAHORE: Punjab Chief Minister Usman Buzdar on Sunday inaugurated the Orange Line Metro Train.

CPEC Authority Chief Lt Gen (retd) Asim Saleem Bajwa also attended the inauguration ceremony.

After the inauguration, the citizens of Lahore will be able to travel by the metro train from tomorrow from Dera Gujran to Ali Town covering a distance of 27.1 kilometers. The metro train will carry 1,000 passengers. The train service will operate from 7am morning to 8pm at night daily.

The government had recently fixed the single journey fare of the metro train at Rs40. However, the citizens of Lahore have demanded of the provincial transport department to reduce the fare.

Meanwhile, the PML-N leaders and workers celebrated the completion of the metro train project.

PML-N leaders Khawaja Saad Rafiq, Ayaz Sadiq and others addressed the gathrering.

Saad Rafiq said that those completed the Orange Line Metro Train are in jail today.
