Karachi: At least five people were killed and 20 others injured in a blast occured in Gulshan Iqbal area on Wednesday.
Sources said that the explosion took place in a building near Maskan Chowrangi. As a result at least five people were killed and 20 others injured. They added that several vehicles were also damaged in the blast.
The explosion occurred on the mezzanine flour of the building located in Block 7 of Gulshan e Iqbal, rescue sources said.
The sources said that the exact cause of the explosion is still unclear.
A spokesperson for the Sui Southern Gas Company said that the explosion did not cause by gas pipleline leakage in the building.
