Pakistan announces 22-member squad for Zimbabwe series

LAHORE: Pakistan on Monday announced a 22-member squad for the upcoming T20 and ODI series against Zimbabwe.

Addressing a presser here, Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) head coach Misbah-u-Haq said that Shoaib Malilk and Safaraz Ahmed had been dropped from the series, including some young players in the side.

He was of the view that every team should be taken as a challenge.

Misbah added that Pakistan had not played the one-day cricket for the last one year, therefore, we would not make too much experiments. But, we will try to give chance to young players in the T20.

The 22-member Pakistan team comprised of Babar Azam (captain), Shadab Khan (vice-captain), Abid Ali, Abdullah Shafiq, Fakhar Zaman, Haris Rauf, Haider Ali ,Haris Sohail, Iftikhar Ahmed, Imam-ul-Haq, Imad Wasim, Khushdil Shah, Mohammad Hafeez, Mohammad Rizwan, Musa Khan, Mohammad Hasnain ,Rohail Nazir, Faheem Ashraf, Usman Qadir, Wahab Riaz, Shaheen Shah Afridi and Zafar Gohar.
