RAWALPINDI: Former president and PPP Co-Chairman Asif Ali Zardari on Monday said that Khawaja Asif’ statement about him was meant to divide the opposition.
The PPP leader stated while speaking to the media outside the accountability court here.
To a query, Zardari said that Khawaja Asif had issued the statement about him on someone’s instructions.
“We are used to face such cases when we are in opposition. We have already seen these cases,” the former president added.
To a query about a ban on the Nawaz Sharif’s speeches on TV, he said that now no one can restrict anyone’s speech on the television as people have cellphones nowadays.
