A delegation of Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) called on by federal interior minister Chaudhry Nisar on Tuesday (today).
Chaudhry Nisar and the delegation comprising MQM leaders headed by Dr. Farooq Sattar exchanged views over ongoing targeted operation in Karachi, the metropolis of Pakistan.
The delegation members include Dr. Farooq Sattar, Khalid Maqbool Siddiqui, Qamar Naveed, Barrister Saif and Kanwar Naveed Jameel.
MQM delegation expressed their reservations over the Karachi Operation. Responding to their reservations, Chaudhry Nisar said that the country needed attention of political powers to establish peace in Karachi via removal of all criminal elements from the metropolis. He appealed all political parties to support Rangers in the Karachi Operation to get rid of every genre of crime and terrorism.
Nisar reiterated that the operation was underway only against criminal persons and maximum efforts would be made to remove concerns of any political party. He clarified that Rangers continued their activities within legal boundaries free from motives to target any political party including MQM.
