PHC approves Gandapur's bail petition in arms, liquor recovery case

PESHAWAR: The Peshawar High Court on Wednesday issued contempt notices to three federal ministers Farogh Naseem, Fawad Chaudhry and Shehzad Akbar.

The court also issued contempt notices to former information minister Firdous Ashiq Awan and ex-attorney general Anwar Mansoor.

The PHC had heard the petitions regarding the defamatory statements made by the federal ministers.

The counsel for the petitioner, Malik Ajmal Khan, informed the court that he could not repeat the defamatory statements made by the federal ministers against a judge during a press conference.

The court issued notices to the parties and sought reply in 14 days.
