Karachi: Rain is expected in Karachi again today but many areas of Clifton and Defense Housing Authority are still waterlogged since Thursday’s rain.
Rainwater is still standing on Khayaban-e-Ittehad, Khayaban-e-Muslim, Khayaban-e-Mohafiz, Khayaban-e-Qasim, Khayaban-e-Shujaat and surrounding roads.
Be it DHA or Surjani Town, four days have passed but rainwater has not been drained. Also, electricity has not been fully restored in these areas.
Following the directives of Sindh Chief Minister and the request of K Electric, the Sindh government has started drainage of rainwater in Defense and Clifton areas of Karachi. The Clifton Cantonment Board (CCB) begins drainage work in rain-affected areas.
