Peshawar: Carrying and using niswar, powdered tobacco, by passengers has been banned on the newly-launched BRT Peshawar.
An official said that the passengers would have to hand over niswar at the bus stations before boarding the metro busses.
He said that action would be taken against those found violating the order.
The official said that the move will help keep the busses and the stations clean as people who consume nisar frequently spit, making the surroundings dirty and unhygienic.
Earlier on August 13, Prime Minister Imran Kham had inaugurated the BRT service in Peshawar.
