KARACHI: The Sindh High Court (SHC) on Monday declared the sugar inquiry commission and the inquiry report null and void.
The SHC heard the petition against the Sugar Inquiry Commission.
The court directed the NAB, FIA, FBR and other agencies to conduct independent and lawful investigations into the sugar shortage.
The Additional Attorney General told the court that the investigation was not against the owners of sugar mills but to find out the reasons for the shortage of sugar. There are no direct charges the sugar mills owners and they have not been suspended.
