LAHORE: The National Acountability Bureau NAB has decided to register a case against the PML-N workers and leaders for causing a commotion during the Maryam Nawaz’s appearance in the court.

The National Accountability Bureau (NAB) said in a statement on Tuesday that Maryam Nawaz was summoned today to take a version, but instead of appearing before the NAB in Lahore to respond, the PML-N workers pelted stones and created commotion.

The NAB statement said that for the first time in the 20-year history of the NAB, such a treatment was meted out to the constitutional and national body. Maryam Nawaz’s appearance has been immediately canceled.

According to the statement, after the approval of the chairman, it has been decided to register an FIR against the PML-N workers for interfering in the affairs of the government.

The statement added that NAB is a national body, all its affiliations are with the country and the nation, NAB has no affiliation with any political party or group, NAB performs all the steps in the light of constitution and law.
