KARACHI: Chief Justice of Pakistan Justice Gulzar Ahmed while hearing a suo motu notice regarding the falling of a billboard in the city expressed his anger and remarked that everyone seems to be destroying Karachi.

The Chief Justice of Pakistan Justice Gulzar Ahmed is hearing the case of falling billboards in the city in which the Mayor of Karachi, Advocate General Sindh, Commissioner Karachi and other senior officials appeared before the court at the Supreme Court Karachi registry office.

The Chief Justice expressed his anger over the collapse of billboards in the city and immediately summoned the CEO of K Electric.

The Commissioner Karachi submitted a report in the court and Advocate General Sindh said that we have registered a case. Expressing anger, the Chief Justice of Pakistan observed that there are billboards all over the city, you will see billboards everywhere, if these billboards fall down, it will be very damaging, you will see billboards on houses. There are so many billboards on the buildings that the windows are closed. It is a violation of the law, he added.

Justice Gulzar remarked that it seems that there is enmity with the people of Karachi.

He added that the mayor of Karachi says he do not have powers. “If you do not have powers, go home, why are you sitting as mayor?, the CJ observed.

The Chief Justice remarked that a case should be registered against the CEO of K Electric, the name of the entire management of K Electric should be included in the ECL, we will also issue an order.
