Situation regarding coronavirus improving in Pakistan: Dr Zafar

Islamabad: Special Assistant to PM on Health Dr. Zafar Mirza has said that the situation regarding coronvirus was improving in Pakistan, which had surprised the estimates of international organizations related to the virus.

Dr. Mirza said that the virus cases in the country had been reduced by 80 per cent and out of 273,000 diagnosed patients, 237,000 have recovered so far.

He said that reduction in coronavirus cases in Pakistan is also being acknowledged at the international level.

In addition, the Special Assistant warned that the virus cases may increase again in Pakistan if we ignore the social distance on the coming Eidul Azha.

Dr Zafar Mirza said that social distance and precautionary measures could not be ignored.

It may be recalled that the total number of coronavirus patients in the country has reached 273113 while the number of deaths are 5822.
