Imran Khan calls upon nation to protect freedom, democracy

ISLAMABAD: PML-N leader Ahsan Iqbal on Tuesday submitted an application with the National Accountability Bureau NAB seeking filing of a reference agaisnt PM Imran Khan for causing billions of rupees loss to the Narowal Sports City project. 

Speaking to the media, the PML-N secretary general said that the NAB was doing character assassination of his party. It accused me of corruption and misuse of authority. Officere are being threatened  to register fake cases against us.

Iqbal said that this agenda of revenge has pushed Pakistan into the worst decision-making crisis. NAB-Niazi nexus has caused destruction in the country.

The cost of the Narowal Sports City project was Rs6 billion. I had been subjected to character assassination by leveling unfounded allegations, the PML-N leader added.

He said that a NAB judge had admitted that there were no monetary corruption allegation him.
