LAHORE: Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari on Wednesday blamed the government for a recent ban on the Pakistan International Airlines flights to the Europe.

Addressing a presser here, Bilawal said that Aviation Minister Ghulam Sarwar Awan had alleged that the PIA pilots possess dubious licenses, which led to the suspension of the national airline’s permit to fly to the EU countries.

He said that a minister whose own degree is fake has leveled such an allegation against the PIA pilots without any poof.

Bilawal said that the government has caused a massive loss to the national carrier, which has no example in the past.

Every six months pilots have to appear in exams and renew their licenses, he said, adding that the federal minister had failed to realise this.
