KARACHI: The administration of Karachi is planning to arrange the collective sacrifice of animals through various welfare organisations on the coming Eidul Azha.
In this connection, Karachi Commissioner Iftikhar Shallwani held a meeting with various welfare organisations including Edhi, Chhipa, Saylani, Al Khidmat, Jamia Binoria Site, Dawat-e-Islami and others.
The meeting reviewed the arrangements for the sacrificial animals and their registration and other preparations.
It was decided that the deputy commissioners of the respective areas would supervise the arrangements and also provide necessary information and guidance to the related welfare organisation.
The district administration will also extend assistance in finding a suitable place to the welfare organisations if needed.
Shallwani directed all the deputy commissioners to help the welfare organisations in making arrangements for the collective sacrifice of animals.
