KARACHI: As of Tuesday (23:00) the total number of confirmed cases of coronavirus has reached 187, 400 while 3, 730 died in the country.
After emergence of new cases, Sindh overtook Punjab with 72,656 confirmed infections.
Over 67,000 patients have recovered so far in the country while 3,501 have lost their lives.

Globally, over 460,000 people have so far died from the coronavirus pandemic.
Last week, a smart lockdown had been imposed in Karachi’s 41 union councils from 7pm today to slow the spread of coronavirus pandemic.
According to a notification from the office of the Karachi commissioner, lockdown had been imposed in hotspots for two weeks.
During the lockdown, which will end on July 2, all the entry and exits points of the hotpsot areas would be closed. All the shops will remain closed except the medical and general stores in the lockdown areas. Medical and general stores will remain open from 11am to 5pm.
No home delivery will be allowed in the areas under lockdown, the notification added.
Only one member of a family will be allowed to visit the market for grocery shopping after showing his/her national identity card.
