‘Islamophobic remarks by Indians working in UAE not to be tolerated’

SHARJAH: An Emirati royal has said that anti-Muslim remarks by Indian people working in the United Arab Emirates UAE would not be tolerated.

Emirati Princess Sheikha Hend bint Faisal al-Qasimi, in an interview with Indian news portal TwoCircles.net, said that the Indians who adhere to radical Hindutva ideology, have indulged in hate remarks on the social media.

The Emirati royal recalled a recent Islamophobic tweet by an Indian national residing in the UAE. She said that the tweet was an insulting to Islam, UAE and its rulers.

She said that the Indian nationals had been doing business in the UAE.

According to the Indian ministry of external affairs, 3.4 million Indian nationals are working in the UAE.
