Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has cancelled tour to Zimbabwe and also sent three key options to Zimbabwe Cricket (ZC) over delay in organisation of tri-nation tournament.

PCB has formally apprised ZC regarding cancellation of tour to Zimbabwe after qualifying for Champions Trophy. The Zimbabwe tour of Green Shirts was scheduled in August-September 2015, however, three alternative options were given to the ZC.

PCB offered to play a tri-nation Twenty20 (T20) tournament comprising teams of Zimbabwe, Pakistan and West Indies instead of organising series of One Day International (ODI) matches.

In second option, Pakistan offered for a reply tour to Zimbabwe excluding West Indies while PCB also made an offer for complete tour including three Test matches in 2016 if ZC accepted to postponed the series this year. It is pertinent to mention here that recent tour of Pakistan comprised three ODIs and two T20 matches.

On the other hand, Zimbabwe Cricket (ZC) failed to get sponsors for the series which led them to make consultation over recommendations made by Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB). However, ZC will formally reply the PCB in few days regarding its final decision.
