RAWALPINDI: Pakistan Muslims League-N leader Akmal Mirza died from coronavirus on Saturday.

Mirza was party’s secretary information in Rawalpindi.

He was tested positive for coronavirus a few days ago.

The PML-N leader had been under treatment at the Benazir Bhutto Hospital where he was put on ventilator a few days ago but could not survive.

PML-N President Shehbaz Sharif expressed grief and sorrow over the demise of Akmal Mirza.

He appreciated the services Mirza rendered for the party, masses and democracy. He added that workers like Mirza are assets for the party.
