KARACHI: Pakistan People’s Party Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari on Saturday urged the Prime Minister Imran Khan to cut expenses by removing what he called an “army of ministers, advisors and special assistants”.
Speaking at a presser here, the PPP chairman said that the government was befooling the masses.
He said that the government used the name of poor for working for the rich class.
Bilawal said that the prime minister was saying nothing can be done now as the coronavirus had spread. The virus has deliberately been spread in the country. If the PM can not do anything to limit the spread of virus then the centre should improve its behaviour with the provinces, the PPP leader said.
Till to date, the federal government has not granted the complete rights to the provinces, he added. The government is not ready to fulfill its responsibilities regarding coronavirus pandemic and the locusts attacks. It has left Sindh in lurch on the issue of locusts attack.
Bilawal said that the government had so far not fulfilled its commitment of carrying out anti-locust spray.
