Saudi Arabia’s King Fahd University ranks 4th on international list of educational institutions

RIYADH: According to the America’s National Academy of Inventors and the Intellectual Property Owners Association, the King Fahd University of Petroleum and Minerals of Saudi Arabia has been ranked 4th on the list of 100 universities being granted utility patents in 2019 in the US.

The annual list of the National Academy of Inventors and the Intellectual Property Owners Association said that the King Fahd University of Petroleum and Minerals was given 225 patents in 2019 while University of California was granted 625, Massachusetts Institute of Technology 355 and the University of Texas 276.

Saudi Minister of Energy and chairman of King Fahd University’s board of trustees Prince Abdul Aziz bin Salman said that the elevation in ranking shows the strategic methodology of the university in the field of innovation and research.

He said that the kingdom can proud of the performance of the university.
