Two more Sindh Assembly members fall prey to coronavirus

KARACHI: Two more members of the Sindh Assembly on Thursday fell prey to coronavirus as the number of cases are on the rise in Karachi.

Sources said that Saadia Javed and Sajid Jokhio have contracted the virus. Both the lawmakers have isolated themselves at their homes.

After the two new cases, now the total number of virus cases among the members of the Sindh Assembly have reached to eight.

Of the eight infected members, three have so far recovered while the others are under treatment in the province.

Meanwhile, as of Thursday (1:15pm) the total number of confirmed cases of coronavirus has reached 61,227 while 1,260 died in the country.

After emergence of new cases, Sindh overtook Punjab with 24,206 confirmed infections.
