Karachi: Sindh Governor Imran Ismail on Sunday said that work was underway to shift the Karachi airport from the populated area to the Highway.
He stated this while speaking to the media here.
The governor said that on the instructions of Prime Minister Imran Khan an inquiry committee had been formed to investigate the plane crash incident.
He said that action would be taken against those found responsible for the crash.
He added that the DNA team had been working to identify the bodies at the Karachi University.
Residents of the houses damaged due to the plane crash are being kept at hotels, Ismail said.
He said that high rise buildings are being constructed around the airport, which is illegal.
