Islamabad: Railways Minister Sheikh Rasheed on Monday said that the rail operation would resume from Wednesday.
Addressing a presser after a meeting with Prime Minister Imran Khan here, the federal minister said that the prime minister had accorded approval to resume train operation with safety guidelines in the country.
He said that the approval had been given to operate 30 trains from May 20, adding that all the SOPs would be followed.
He said that passengers had already made online reservations in advance.
If the situation gets improved by June 1 then more trains will be run, he added.
The minister said that there were no differences with any province.
He warned of taking action against the head of a division if any SOP is violated within his division.
