Islamabad: Prime Minister Imran Khan on Thursday announced phase-wise lifting of lockdown from Saturday.
The decision was taken during a meeting of the National Coordination Committee chaired by the prime minister.
The prime minister said that we need to ease restrictions wisely.
The government has decided not to open schools before July 15. The decision will be reviewed on June 1.
During the NCC meeting, it was also decided that the bus and train services and domestic flight operations would remain close.
The prime minister said that thousands of people were dying daily due to the pandemic in the world. Thanks to Allah, our situation is different than the US and Europe.
We do not have pressure like the Europe, he added.
