Karachi: Jamaat-e-Islami, Sindh, Ameer Muhammad Hussain Mehanti on Tuesday said that ration was distributed among 120,000 deserving people regardless of their religion and cast from Karachi to Kashmore in the province.
Addressing a presser here at the Karachi Press Club, the JI leader said that cooked food was also provided to 174,000 masses at their doorsteps in the province.
Mehanti added that 28,300 personal protection kits were provided to various hospitals, including the government hospitals across Sindh.
The JI leader told media that over 12,000 worship places including mosques, imambargahs, temples and churches were sprayed with disinfectants.
In addition, over 200,000 N-95 masks and 60,000 soaps and hand sanitisers were distributed among masses.
Mehanti said that Al-Khidmat distributed all these things at the time when the government was facing shortage of them.
