Islamabad: The Drug Regulatory Authority of Pakistan (Drap) has permitted to start clinical trials of plasma therapy with the view to cure coronavirus patients in the country.

This was stated by Special Assistant to Prime Minister on Health Zafar Mirza on Thursday while speaking to the media.

He said that the Drap had permitted the drug manufacturers to speed up the refining of raw materials that are used to prepare chloroquine.

Dr Zafar said that he had formed Drap Expert Committee last week to examine locally manufactured ventilators.
