ISLAMABAD: Finally the government in consultation with the opposition has decided to appoint Sikandar Sultan Raja as the new Chief Election Commissioner here on Tuesday.
This has been confirmed by the Minister for Human Rights Shireen Mazari on social media.
The minister said that a parliamentary body had unanimously agreed to induct Sikandar Sultan Raja, a former bureaucrat, as CEC.
Sikandar Sultan Raja was born in Sargodha district. His father was an Army officer.
