Iranians rally across country demanding severe avenge of Qasem’s killing

TEHRAN: Iranian people took to the streets in protest of the killing of IRGC Quds Force commander General Qassem Soleimani, calling for avenge of his death.

Hundreds of thousands of citizens rallied in all major cities here on Friday.

The protesters called for taking revenge from the US for killing Qassem Soleimani.

Earlier in the morning, Maj Gen Qassem Soleimani, the head of the Quds Force of Iran’s Islamic Revolution Guards Corps (IRGC) was killed in the US strike in Baghdad. In the same strike, Iraq’s Popular Mobilization Units’s (PMU) second-in-command Abu Mahdi al-Muhandis was also killed by the American forces.

Both the commanders were killed in the US helicopter attack in the Iraqi capital Baghdad, an IRGC statement confirmed on Friday morning.
