ISLAMABAD: A good news for the mobile users as the government has announced to reduce withholding and sales tax on the import of cellphones.
The federal government has reduced the taxes via the presidential ordinance.
Withholding tax had been slashed to Rs100 per mobile from earlier Rs730 on the phones worth US30 to 100.
The Federal Bureau of Statistics (FBR) also cut sales tax on few categories of cellphones.
