ISLAMABAD: A case has been registered after a student was martyred and over 10 others injured in yesterday’s firing by members of an ethnic student union at the International Islamic University Islamabad (IIUI).
Fahad Khan, a student, had filed an FIR at the Subzi Mandi Police Station against Aimal Khan, Azhar Lashari and 20 other members of the ethnic student union.
The student said that the ‘Mega Educational Expo’ being organised by Islami Jamiat Taliba was underway on the IIUI premises when the members of the student group opened indiscriminate fire.
Police claimed to have arrested 16 students involved in the firing incident.
