Bomb blast injures five police personnel in Peshawar

PESHAWAR:  As many as five police personnel were injured Friday (morning)  in a bomb blast near Gulbahar police station, police said.

According to the police, the blast was carried out through planted device fixed near Arbab Sikandar flyover.

Emergency response force vehicle was target of the blast, the police added.

The injured police personnel were shifted to Lady Reading Hospital.

Around two kg of explosive material was used in the blast, bomb disposable squad (BDS) said.

The police have cordoned off the area after the blast.
