SRINAGAR: After taking an undertaking, internet connections to over 80 companies have been restored in the occupied Kashmir.
The local administration made the subscribers to sign bonds restricting them to use the facility strictly for commercial purposes.
According to an Indian media report, the users signed an informal bond titled ‘Undertaking for usage of Internet’. The bond asks the users to promise to share all the contents and infrastructure of the Internet as and when required by the Indian agencies.
Under the signed bond, the users cannot upload encrypted files containing any sort of video or photographs. The subscribers cannot use social networking, proxies, VPNs and Wi-Fi and that all the USB ports will be disabled on the network.
