KARTARPUR: To facilitate the Indian Sikh pilgrims to visit the shrine of Baba Guru Nanak, Pakistan on Saturday formally inaugurates the Kartarpur Corridor, allowing Sikh pilgrims to visit one of the religion’s holiest sites in Pakistan.
Addressing the ceremony, Prime Minister Imran Khan congratulated the Sikh community on the 550th birth anniversary of Baba Guru Nanak.
Earlier, the first Sikh pilgrims delegation led by former PM Manmohan Singh crossed into Pakistan through the Kartarpur Corridor.
Indian Punjab’s Chief Minister Amarinder Singh and former minister Navjot Singh Sidhu was also part of the jatha (caravan).
