NEW DELHI: Life in the Indian capital has come to a standstill almost after eye-burning smog became the worst in three years on Monday.

Schools are closed, cars taken off the roads and construction activities have been halted here in New Delhi.

Citizens including kids and elderly are facing difficulties in breathing besides eye-burning due to the poisonous smog.

To deal with the crisis, New Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal had ordered half the city’s private cars to be taken off the road.
