LAHORE: Former premier and PML-N Quaid Nawaz Sharif suffered a minor heart attack at the Services Institute of Medical Sciences (SIMS) here on Saturday morning, a prominent TV anchorperson claimed.

However, a local TV quoting SIMS Principal Prof Dr Mahmood Ayaz refuted the claim and said that the former prime minister suffered angina pain on Saturday morning during treatment at the hospital.

The mother of former premier, Shamim Begum, had reached the SIMS following the news of heart attack of Nawaz Sharif.
