ISLAMABAD: Judicial Commission formed to investigate alleged vote rigging during 2013 general election has prepared final report after reviewing all aspects of the evidences and allegations submitted by Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI), sources said.
Judicial Commission prepared final report regarding alleged vote rigging during 2013 general election while the detailed report was also sent to Law Ministry, sources added. The law ministry will forward the report to the Prime Minister.
According to sources, all allegations levelled by the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) were rejected by the commission headed by Chief Justice of Pakistan Nasir-ul-Mulk.
The report is comprising more than 300 pages prepared after 85 days of hearings include 39 sessions where 11 Returning Officers (ROs) and many witnesses were summoned to record their statements before three-member inquiry commission including Justice Ameer Hani Muslim and Justice Aijaz Afzal while it was headed by CJP Nasir-ul-Mulk.
During the hearings, 16 witnesses of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) were presented before the commission, 15 from Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) and 14 witnesses belonging to ruling Pakistan Muslim League Nawaz (PML-N).
The commission reportedly rejected three key allegations by PTI that include mandate stealing, engineered rigging and organisation of non-transparent election.
