An Accountability Court on Friday handed Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) Cheif Nawaz Sharif over to the National Accountability Bureau (NAB) on 14-day physical remand in the Chaudhry Sugar Mills case.

The former Prime Minister was presented before the court under strict security as all routes leading to the court being closed.

Talking to media outside the court before his appearance, Nawaz said he fully supports JUI-F’s Azadi March.

“We consider Fazl’s position as our own and support it. If Maulana is protesting, then that is fine,” said PMLN leader.

During today’s hearing, the NAB had requested for Nawaz’s physical remand.
